Hi! I'm Beth Lyons and this marks my 16th year as the junior high religion teacher at SPPCS!
I am a Cradle Catholic and have attended Catholic schools for my entire education. After graduate school, I taught in public schools for eight years then became a stay-at-home mom. Once my youngest started school at SPPCS, I returned to my roots and was blessed with a teaching position where I get to help junior high students learn and love their faith and prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation. God is so good!
My husband, Rich, and I have lived in Waterloo for 17 years. We have been blessed with two children: Grace, 22, who married her grade school crush, Josh, on June 23, and Harry, 20, who is pursuing his dream of writing while living in Chicago. Both are proud graduates of SPPCS! We have four (yes, four) dogs, too: Leo - 15, Trudy - 5, Gus - 2, and Rosie - 1. We were foster parents to Grace's dog (Moose - brother to Rosie) while she finished school, got married, and went on a honeymoon. So, five dogs at once. š³
When Iām not at school, I love spending time with my family playing board games, cards, watching movies, and reading. We like to spend time traveling to visit Grace in South Carolina and Harry in Chicago, too.
