SS PETER & PAUL CHILD PROTECTION TRAINING INFORMATION
If you are volunteering or employed at our school, church or plan to participate in any of our events where children are involved, this includes chaperoning field trips, you MUST be in compliance with the Diocesan Policy on Child Protection. You can find the full policy here.
To be in compliance, you must take the initial child protection class and have all of paperwork provided at that class completed and on file with the Belleville Diocese. Due to the COVID-19, the Diocese has decided to make a change regarding their initial Child Protection Policy Training by bringing it online. To find the online initial child protection class, please check the Diocesan website.
After you have completed the initial training session, you are required to take an online refresher course annually.
At SPPCS, we also require the CANTS forms to be completed each year at the time your child(ren) are enrolled. This allows us to keep our volunteer paperwork up to date and in compliance with the Diocesan Child Protection Policy.
All volunteers, parent volunteers, coaches & chaperones are also required to complete a criminal investigation background check for the State of Illinois unless they have been fingerprinted due to employment with our Parish or Diocese.
If at any time you would like to check your status of compliance with our policies, please contact Emily at the Parish Office at 618-939-6426 ext. 20.
The following forms should be filled out and returned to the Parish Office.
